The house has the character of a grand Andalusian country residence that combines traditional Spanish architecture and furnishings with the comfort of a well-equipped modern home. Its atmosphere feels substantial and historic rather than minimalist: high ceilings, decorative tiles, antique furniture, fireplaces, generous terraces and carefully furnished rooms create a sense of warmth, elegance and lived-in character.

At the heart of the house, the kitchen balances authenticity with practicality. Its decorative tiles and traditional Andalusian feel are complemented by modern appliances, including two refrigerators and a large oven, making it particularly suited to relaxed, sociable cooking and entertaining. The dining room continues this sense of conviviality, with seating for ten, attractive tableware and a large fireplace that gives the room an especially welcoming quality. Together, these spaces suggest a house designed around long meals, conversation and gathering rather than formal entertaining alone.

The living room provides the residence’s grandest architectural statement. Its five-metre ceilings and enormous windows overlooking the patio create a dramatic sense of scale while allowing abundant light and connecting the interior with the outdoor spaces. Despite this grandeur, the monumental fireplace, television area and separate games space keep the room informal and comfortable. It feels like a place where architectural splendour is intended to be enjoyed rather than merely admired.

The bedrooms and suites introduce a more intimate version of the same aesthetic. Their names—Granada, Sevilla, Córdoba, Cádiz and Ronda—reinforce the Andalusian identity of the house. Traditional character is paired with contemporary comfort: king-size beds, flexible twin arrangements, private or shared bathrooms, terraces and abundant outdoor space make the accommodation practical without sacrificing its sense of place. The Sevilla suite’s tower setting and panoramic roof terrace, the Granada suite’s morning-sun terrace and the Ronda master suite’s private view terrace particularly emphasize the relationship between the house and its surroundings.

The library adds another important dimension. Its antique furnishings and collection of French, Dutch, English and Spanish books give the residence an intellectual, eclectic quality. Rather than feeling like a uniformly styled modern villa, the house appears to have accumulated objects, books and decorative elements that reflect different cultures and periods.

Overall, the ambiance is warm, spacious, traditional and distinctly Andalusian, with an appealing mixture of grandeur and domestic comfort. Fireplaces and antique furnishings create intimacy; high ceilings, large windows and terraces provide openness; and modern amenities ensure that the historic aesthetic does not come at the expense of convenience. The result is a residence that feels equally appropriate for long communal meals, quiet reading, relaxed evenings by the fire and enjoying the landscape from its terraces—a substantial country house with personality, rather than a generic luxury property.
